There are many ways of knowing our subconscious, many different paths that lead us to our treasure, our source of light. One of my favourite ways is to make my own totem, connect with animals and discover their strengths, virtues and weaknesses. By getting to know them, you get to know yourself as well.
Animals are wonderful and powerful messengers of nature. They clearly show us that everything in nature is connected and that we all depend on each other. The thought of making my own totem has always attracted me. I liked the idea that by owning my totem I have the powers of these animals and gain access to the world of magic, a world where anything is possible, where I am strong enough to withstand all the changes that come into my life and where I have enough power to turn my own shadows into light. reconcile the parties and establish harmony.
The animals on the totem also showed me which shadows I need to work on and which parts of myself I need to unite and how to do it. The animals will be happy to show you, just listen to them. Give them some time and attention, let them enter your heart, show you the way to change and say that there is nothing to fear, that everything will be fine and that your heart is ready for change.
When your heart is ready, miracles happen.
Settle down comfortably, breathe lightly. Take 3 deep breaths and exhale lightly.
Concentrate your attention on your chest. Imagine the energy gathering there and ask that energy to take you to a pleasant and beautiful place, where your guardian angels will appear and show you your totem animal.
Let that energy guide you.
Ask your guardian angel to introduce you to as many animals as you currently need, one at a time.
Look that animal in the eye, look at it from all sides … do you notice anything unusual on it, does it look healthy? Is she tired, sick, does she want to tell you something?
Ask your guardian angel to help you simplify the animal’s message to make it easier to understand. To help you understand the meaning of her message and to understand more clearly what you need to do next to improve your current condition.
If you find it difficult to imagine an animal, you are free to draw it or shape it with your hands. You can use whatever you have in the house. Anything that some form of that animal can convey to you.
When you have shaped it, ask her why you drew it? What does she want to tell you? If it’s easier for you, you can write those questions. And immediately write the answers. The trick is that you need to write or say the answer within 3 seconds. In this way, your subconscious mind works without interruption, before your mind engages with a multitude of doubts, questions, and disbeliefs.
Trust your first answers, no matter how strange it may seem. If you do not have clear answers, feel free to ask further, until it becomes clear to you what is expected of you and which way you should go for your better tomorrow.
Another of my favourite techniques is to randomly open any book about animals. And the one that catches my attention means it has something to tell me. I watch the picture long enough until I get my message. That message that made me take that book at that place and at that time. That message that makes me know why I’m here.
